Creative DIY Projects You Can Do At Home

This pandemic gives us more time to be more involved at home and we have been dealing with cleaning and identifying stuff that is much more to be kept for good and those that are unnecessary. While having redecoration of some stuff at home, you can actually do some special projects out of them and transform your house to a new exciting level. Here are some DIY creative projects you can have at home:

Hand-Painted Wallpaper

This can be done in various ways. The most popular way is by sketching on the wall the possible designs that you want, planning color combinations, and applying them to your wall. Another way is for you to make use of a piece of scrap wood and try to make objects that would fit your desired designs, paint them with your preferred color/s, and glued them to your wall.

Custom Mirrors

For rebuilding your mirror, you do not need to totally change it. You just have to patch up the damages of all sides using pieces of scrap wood, dry-glued papers, or tape. After such, you can paint the sides depending on your style.

Transformation of Old Dresser

Instead of dumping an old item dresser and buying a new one, you can actually repair the existing one to save money. According to DIY home bloggers Ash and Eileen Annesley of Just Measuring Up, they recommended the use of milk paint for this to bring out more life to old furniture

Bookshelves

The first thing that you need to consider in making bookshelves is the thickness of the wood since this would carry heavy books. You also need to secure that the shelves are level and mounted to correctly cover up the wall. It is better to get the shelves painted with your chosen colors/styles before attaching them to the wall using an L-bracket or any other materials you fancied to use.

Plant Wall

Planting is one of the most trendy hobbies in the phase of a pandemic. Firstly, choose your space to situate the wall plant outside your house. Start by building a garden fence or a sturdy shed straightly. After such, start attaching plastic planters to the battens, securing the locks, and building up your garden wall. Put all the green plants and flowering plants you fancied to get up your garden wall, beautifully.
